Is it time to drop your parents’ advice?

I dare you to reach out to a total stranger this week.

Feeling intimidated? I get it!

But it’s so worth it.

I’m going to tell you WHY (and if you need help with HOW, hit me up).

Let me introduce you to Robb, Lucy, and Nelson—all people I’ve met in the last 18 months. Robb reached out to me on LinkedIn out of the blue, Lucy was introduced to me by our business coach, and Nelson checked in on me when I started a contract executive coaching role.

They all live in Toronto.

Robb, Lucy, and Nelson were total strangers up until recently…

And they were the reason I took a 5-day trip to Canada last week.

Visiting these former strangers—now colleagues, mentors, and friends—and connecting with their communities has been one of the most FUN and IMPACTFUL things I’ve done all year.

Robb invited me to “Do Bold Sh!t,” an event for ~100 purpose-driven coaches and consultants running their own businesses.

Lucy and I jammed on business strategies while galavanting around the city, and I got to see her crush it at FuckUp Nights, an event dedicated to breaking the taboo of failure.

Nelson welcomed me into the Ezra Coaching office, where I got to connect with the amazing people behind their operation (who also connect me with incredible clients).

Talking to STRANGERS sparks CONNECTIONS that open doors to OPPORTUNITIES and GROWTH. Talking with STRANGERS leads to…

🤝 Inspiration
I watched Laura, Natalie, and Chris step up on stage and boldly share their stories—how they overcame challenges to reach where they are now, and how it gave them clarity and purpose.

🤝 Validation
Karen got us dancing, Danielle created drawings, and Anna handed out bracelets. I’ve always known creativity and play are key in business, but these women made it come to life.

🤝 Competition
There’s toxic competition, and then there’s watching Antoni confidently declare his bold 2025 goals, making me think, “What’s stopping me from dreaming bigger?”

🤝 Education
I'm using AI in fresh ways in my business, thanks to Heidi. I have an improved SEO strategy now, thanks to Dan. And I’m better at telling my story, thanks to Cat and Andy.

🤝 Connection
Yes, this is networking—these people send me referrals. But more importantly, we’re in a loneliness epidemic, and the effects can be serious. Sometimes, a hug is just as powerful.

Let me introduce you to some strangers who are taking control of their careers. I hand selected these strangers, because they have vision and drive—they just need help taking consistent, confident steps forward. We'll all about achieving our goals in the Career Change Collective.

This weekend, I learned to make my Grandma Anne’s legendary matzo ball soup. After hanging up with my aunt (“use loooots of dill”), I got to work prepping for Soup Fest—my friend’s annual gathering where 40+ people bring soups, sample and vote on their favorites, and winners walk away with glory and embossed spoons. I almost didn’t go. Work and life have been full, and a solo night—a yoga class, a luxurious bath, finally catching up on Severance (holy shit, that finale!)—felt like the right...

LA’s hottest trend right now? A little virus that barges in unannounced and squats in your respiratory system until it’s ready to move on to its next victim. (That, and either baggy, flared, or skinny jeans—I honestly don’t know anymore.) Last week, this little menace got me, and I was reminded how much I hate not being at 100%. No one likes being sick. It’s famously uncomfortable and shrinks your world to your couch, surrounded by a halo of crumpled tissues. But I want to talk about the...
